Bentonite clay powder is a naturally occurring by product of volcanic ash exposed to wind and water. It draws out impurities in the skin and it used in many different things such as the oil and gas industry at drilling sites. Bentonite clay is also used as an environmental sealant for freshwater ponds and wells and in construction to create water-proof barriers around foundation walls and used in metal casting, poultry feed and in the manufacture of clumping cat litter. The dried and ground fruit of the tropical achiote tree has been used as a natural coloring agent since the 15th century. It is still used today to give color to various cosmetics, soaps, candles, cheese, margarine, baked goods and other foods. Annatto seed contains various antioxidants and carotenoids.The ground seed is used in blush powders. Powdered annatto seed is also used in soaps and lotions for added color.
